Advice to the minister: no further growth in flights to Eindhoven Airport for the time being
The number of take-offs and landings at Eindhoven Airport may not grow further in the coming years than the 41,500 expected to be reached at the end of this year. That is one of the “buttons” that Eindhoven has to reduce noise levels.
This is stated in the recommendation that former State Secretary Pieter van Geel presented this morning to Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen of Infrastructure and Water Management. According to Van Geel, the main focus in the coming years will be on reducing noise levels. In 2030 this must have decreased by 30 percent compared to the current situation.
