An evening full of Colombian traditions in Meerhoven

Anyone who walked past Zeecafé de Blinkerd in Meerhoven on Friday evening could not ignore the Colombian influences. They could be seen, heard, smelled and tasted. About 50 people enjoyed a Colombian-style dinner evening.

Luciana Tromp lives next to De Blinkerd and is looking forward to the evening. This evening is all about food, dance, music and meeting. “Eating is a kind of intimacy at the table,” says Tromp, beaming. In the meantime, it is a hive of activity in the kitchen. It is a coming and going of dishes, served in Colombian style. The highlight is the ‘ajiaco’, a typical Colombian soup.

The Colombian evening was an initiative of WIJeindhoven.
