Burglary prevention evening with tips from ex-burglar

On Monday 25 November 2024, Residents’ Association Meerhoven is organising a burglary prevention evening with ex-burglar Evert Jansen, known from the AVROTROS TV programme ‘De Inbreker’ (The Burglar).

The meeting will take place at Primary School De Startbaan, Meerbos 16 in Meerhoven and will last from 7.30 pm to approximately 9.00 pm. Doors open at 7.00 pm. Due to the limited number of seats, registration is required.

Ex-burglar
For years he was a burglar himself. Now Jansen helps prevent burglaries. When he walks down the street, he can see at a glance which home he can quickly enter. Although Jansen stopped breaking and entering almost 25 years ago, he never lost his trained eye. Before the burglary prevention evening, Jansen goes into the neighbourhood to look for places where it is made a little too easy for burglars. During the meeting, Jansen shares his finding using various photos.

New local police officer
During this evening you can also meet the new local police officer of Meerhoven and the Neighbourhood Watch Meerhoven. There is also a stall with materials and systems to prevent burglaries and an explanation will be given of the WeWatch app.

Language
The presentations will be in Dutch, but it is possible to ask questions in English.
