Confusion about expansion of the number of asylum seekers in Eindhoven’s Novotel: “It’s a mystery”
It is not yet certain that COA will rent the entire Novotel in Eindhoven for the housing of asylum seekers. The municipality announced this on Tuesday, but according to the hotel’s general manager Jacco Smit, it is complete nonsense.
Smit is disappointed that his staff was plunged into despair on Tuesday and emphasizes that guests can also book a hotel room after February 1. He categorically denies that discussions are taking place with the Central Agency for the Housing of Asylum Seekers (COA) about expanding the number of asylum seekers.
