Eindhoven Airport may not grow, but it is a whopper of a terminal, what about that?
The new mega terminal at Eindhoven Airport will offer space to millions more travelers from 2027. But growing is not allowed now, is it? Even though the airport is not allowed to expand in the number of flights for the time being, the situation is not yet completely over. And moreover: airport boss Roel Hellemons does not rule out more flights in the future.
“I fear there is a plan behind this that makes me very scared.” A few months ago, a resident of Eindhoven Airport was, to say the least, uneasy when the airport confirmed the construction of a new terminal. Certainly not when Airport director Roel Hellemons said that there was enough room for 10 million passengers annually, more than 3 million extra travelers than the airport currently has and a doubling of the capacity of the current terminal.
