Eindhoven can credit 7.8 million euros to all current construction projects in 2020. Due to the high demand for housing, the value of the land for housing is constantly rising. The municipality is profiting from this.
The forecast is partly a theoretical exercise. For large existing building plans such as Meerhoven, Blixembosch, Strijp-S and Berckelbosch the value of the homes, offices and businesses that still have to be built is calculated. For the triangle in Meerhoven (Zandrijk/Meerrijk), the last parts of Waterrijk, two plots in Bosrijk, Park Forum Zuid (living-working plots) the construction of more apartments, other types of housing and adjustment of the plans are also being studied. In a cluster in Bosrijk there will also be social housing.
