Eindhoven council puts research into added value of Airport on hold: ‘Meaningful, but not now’

Although a majority of the Eindhoven city council would like to have research done into the added value of Eindhoven Airport, such a study will not be carried out for the time being.

That was the outcome of a short debate in a council meeting late on Tuesday evening, in which the future of the airport was discussed. Six political parties wanted to propose to the city council to have an analysis made in which ‘the damage of aviation is explicitly examined to see how the benefits outweigh the damage’, stated GroenLinks council member Lotte Meerhoff, also on behalf of D66, PvdA, SP, Volt and the Partij voor de Dieren.
