Eindhoven misled about expansion of asylum shelter in Novotel, councilor promises to be more cautious from now on

According to the municipality, the confusion that has arisen about the expansion of asylum shelter in the Eindhoven Novotel is due to the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA). Councilor Samir Toub (GroenLinks) says he has been misled.

In response to questions from the SP, the councilor explained on Tuesday evening that the municipality’s announcement about 150 additional shelter places was entirely based on information from the COA. The councilor promised to be more careful in the future. He could not yet clarify whether more asylum seekers are coming to the hotel at Eindhoven Airport Novotel or not.
