Eindhoven quickly helps homeless migrant workers find a new job, trial extended due to success
Eindhoven is achieving success with the shelter and assistance of Eastern European migrant workers who have become unemployed and homeless. During a trial that started at the end of last year, dozens of homeless people have already been guided to new jobs with shelter.
The test will therefore continue longer. The pavilion in Meerhoven, which can accommodate up to fifteen homeless people, will remain in place until October 2025. And the municipality is also looking at the possibilities for a permanent solution after that. There was cynicism about the test beforehand, but that has disappeared. The aid appears to be a solution, especially for motivated migrant workers.
