Environmental organisation demands nature permit for Eindhoven Airport
Environmental organisation MOB (Mobilisation for the Environment) of Johan Vollenbroek has officially objected to the decision that Eindhoven Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport do not need to acquire a nature permit. The government allows them to operate on the basis of environmental permits from the past. Vollenbroek believes that this is no longer acceptable and is taking several other organisations to court in Arnhem.
“Rotterdam and Eindhoven airports have grown steadily since the nineties. At the moment, there are many more aircraft movements than was permitted in the past. As a result, the negative effects of these airports on the surrounding nature have also increased,” he writes.
