The municipality of Eindhoven aims to be climate neutral by 2030. To achieve this goal, the municipality has drawn up a climate action plan together with the municipality of Helmond. A total of 100 selected cities are drawing up a climate action plan. These cities receive support from the EU to function as places of experimentation and innovation. Of the 100 selected cities, six are from The Netherlands: Amsterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven/Helmond, Groningen, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

Climate contract
The Eindhoven and Helmond Climate Contract was drawn up last year together with residents, representatives of social organizations, companies and knowledge institutions in Eindhoven and Helmond. The climate action plan is part of this. During various meetings, the four city themes were fleshed out: Vital City Center, Livable Neighbourhoods, Robust Region and Sustainable Business. On this basis, various projects have been drawn up for the accelerated sustainability of Eindhoven and Helmond. You can find these projects and their status on the site wat-als-het-ons-lukt.vercel.app/projecten.
