Kumihimo workshop: braiding with beads
Would you like to learn how to braid with beads together with local residents? Then register for the Kumihimo workshop.
Kumihimo is originally a Japanese braiding art that is more than 1000 years old. With the help of a Kumihimo braiding disc you can easily braid very beautiful cords. The disk has many slots to secure the wires. This makes it possible to work with many threads and therefore to braid thick cords with or without beads. During the workshop you will braid a Kumihimo bracelet with beads. The workshop is suitable for people aged 10 and over. The language of instruction is both Dutch and English.
Time and location
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, June 4 from 3 to 5 pm in Youth Center De Hangar (Dynamo), Meerbos 2 in Meerhoven.
Costs
The costs are five euros per person and must be paid on site cash or via Tikkie. All materials are included in the price. Since the workshop is organized by volunteers and the aim is to keep costs as low as possible, a cardboard disc is used. If you prefer to work with a Kumihimo disc, you can purchase one yourself and take it with you to the workshop.
Registration
Due to the limited number of spots, you must register in advance using this form.
