A typical case of chicken or egg. In Meerhoven they want power and water connections for events at Park Meerland, but according to the municipality there is too little organization to justify this.

But that is of course because the facilities are not there now, says Ruben Trieling, chairman of the residents’ association in the Eindhoven district of Meerhoven. He is hopeful that things will still work out before the summer. “There is some movement. Electricity seems to be on its way, now it remains to do the rest. In the summer we have a children’s holiday week here and an open-air cinema. It would be nice if it was all arranged by then.” The residents’ association already wrote a letter to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (in Dutch) about this two years ago.
