Open-air play Ariëns Theater in Meerhoven

This summer the Ariëns Toneel will again come to Meerhoven with its open-air theater. On Friday, July 5, 2024 at 7 pm, the enthusiastic actors will perform a free play on and around their wheeled wagon.

This time the theater company presents the play “The legend of Frits with the Pet”. The story: “In the past, when Eindhoven was still small, Jan Schoonvorst ruled. Lord Jan made the villagers pay for his noble existence until they could no longer buy food themselves. This could no longer continue, as Frits with the Pet also thought. With his band of robbers he stole the money he collected and gave it back to the people. When the tax collector and soldier returned to the castle for the umpteenth time without a gold chest, Lord John became terribly angry. He came up with a trick to lure Frits and his buddies into a trap! But to fool a fool, you will have to get up a lot earlier…”

Location
The performance will take place on the Meerplein of Shopping Center Meerhoven. Entrance is free. The wagon play can also be seen at other locations and days in Eindhoven. See the program below.
