Opening multifunctional parking building P1 Eindhoven Airport on 1 October
P1, the rebuilt multifunctional parking building at Eindhoven Airport, will be delivered on 1 October 2019.
P1 is located directly opposite the Eindhoven Airport terminal. In addition to 780 parking spaces (including a Kiss & Ride zone) and various charging points for electric cars, the building has a spacious covered public transport terminal and a bicycle parking facility with 110 spaces. In addition, a building of McDonald’s with restaurant and McDrive is housed in the building. Parkers can use P1 with and without reservation. You can now reserve a place in P1 www.eindhovenairport.nl with arrival from 7 October.
Proud
Roel Hellemons, director Eindhoven Airport: “We are proud that we will soon be able to use P1. Thanks to the joint efforts of many, this complex has been completely rebuilt. This includes the lessons learned from the various investigations into the partial collapse.”
OV Terminal
For Eindhoven Airport, the commissioning of P1 is an important step in the quality boost of the airport area. Good accessibility – also with public transport – is one of the pillars of the Eindhoven Airport strategy. The realization of the spacious covered bus terminal also fits in with this. Deputy Christophe Van der Maat (Mobility and Finance): “An international airport must be well connected to public transport. With this terminal we make it a lot more attractive for travelers traveling via Eindhoven Airport to travel by public transport to and from the airport.”
Facelift
Immediately after the commissioning of P1, the facelift of the forecourt immediately adjacent to the terminal is started. This area is being redesigned and is being converted into a residential area that can also serve as an event site. In addition to the upgrade of the forecourt, the connection to the terminal is also greatly improved. For example, a spaciously designed Airport Boulevard is being constructed from parking garage P4 to the terminal. The delivery of the forecourt and the Airport boulevard is planned for April 2020.
