The construction of a new police megacomplex at Land Forum in Meerhoven may also mean the disappearance of the cell block in the police headquarters in Den Bosch. There are also plans for a demo drug lab.

Broadly speaking, all police departments from Eindhoven and the surrounding area are moving to the new place. Only the Eindhoven base teams (North and South) will not go with them. The police are taking into account that the cells will move from Den Bosch to Eindhoven, says documents on the tender for the design of the new police facility. The new cell complex will be located at Meerhovendreef. For now, the police are assuming forty cells, where suspects will stay for a maximum of three days. But the plans include an option for expansion to sixty cells.

Demo drugs lab
Furthermore, the tender shows that the new police facility will also have a demo drug lab. Police officers can get acquainted with an almost real drug lab there. The National Police Unit already has a demo drug lab in the Eindhoven region. Because there are materials there that drug criminals can make good use of, the police are not giving the current location any great publicity.
