Solar Park Welschap: last panels available

Wednesday March 13, 2019 at 8 pm 040energie organizes an information meeting about the Solar Park Welschap and the last available panels. Location: De Hangar, Meerbos 4 in Meerhoven. Admission is free but you must register in advance.

More than 11,000 solar panels have been installed on the former glider strip of Welschap airbase. Last year, 040Energie, Veldhoven Duurzaam, Best Duurzaam, Kempen Energie and 03energie put a lot of effort into getting this local sustainable energy project off the ground. The solar park goes into production this month. There are already more than 700 participants. The vast majority of the panels have already been sold, but there are still a few hundred panels available. Participation is possible in the following postal code areas: 5616, 5626, 5627, 5651, 5652, 5653, 5657 and 5658 (Meerhoven).

Benefits
In postal code areas in the vicinity of the solar park, participants receive a 15-year exemption from energy tax on the electricity they purchase from the solar park. A solution for anyone who is not able to generate power with solar panels on their own roof. Think of residents of apartments and rental homes and homeowners who have to deal with an unfavorably located roof, a monument or a protected cityscape.
