A fundraising campaign for a girl from Eindhoven who was hit by a car last year has quickly become a success. Within a day, the family raised about forty thousand euros via the internet. With the money, the family of Liz Janssen (9) can get legal assistance in the aftermath of the accident.

The girl was seriously injured in June 2020 after a cyclist collided with her. The accident happened at Zandkrab in the Meerhoven district. Liz wanted to cross the street with her kick scooter and did not see the cyclist coming. Because of the collision, the child ended up in a coma for weeks and she is still recovering from the injuries.
