Together against Corona
The consequences of the corona crisis affect us all. The cabinet and the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) have taken a number of measures that will apply at least until April 6, 2020. Meerhoven Residents’ Association also complies with these measures.
We are in close contact with the municipality of Eindhoven and other partners. In coordination with them, we actively monitor national developments and the situation in Meerhoven. We have suspended all our activities and meetings for at least two months. Of course we keep an eye on legal deadlines.
Urgent appeal
We also urge all residents to (continue to) comply with the guidelines of the national government:
- limit your (social) contacts, do not make new contacts!
- avoid large groups and gatherings, including outdoors!
- keep 1.5 meters apart, even when shopping!
- if you have a cold: stay at home!
Of course, don’t forget to wash your hands regularly, cough and sneeze in your elbow, use paper tissues (and throw them away right away), and don’t shake hands.
Common sense
If we all use common sense and follow these measures, we can prevent an extreme spike in the number of infections. This is how we keep our society, and that of Meerhoven in particular, running. We can only do it together!
Initiatives
In the past week, various initiatives have emerged where people take care of and with each other. Think of shopping for each other and maintaining (online) contact with lonely elderly people. As a residents’ association, we can make a (financial) contribution to this. Do you have ideas about how we can be there for you or someone else? Then get in touch with us by sending an e-mail to info@meerhoven.nl.
