Two weeks of free test driving with Buurauto
A trial was recently launched in Meerhoven with Buurauto, an initiative whereby several households use the same electric car. A second Buurauto will be placed in Meerhoven soon. Residents can test drive for free for two weeks.
Harry van der Kallen, initiator of Buurauto in Meerhoven: “Car sharing is becoming more and more popular. ‘Ownership’ is obsolete while ‘use’ is becoming the new standard. Sharing an electric car is cheaper than having your own car. Moreover, it is sustainable. It ensures better air quality and together we reduce parking pressure in Meerhoven.”
Second Buurauto
The electric Buurauto has been in the neighbourhood for a few months now and is available to all residents of Meerhoven. Van der Kallen: “More and more people are using the Buurauto. To reduce the chance of deficit, a second Buurauto will be placed in Meerhoven soon. And the more residents use the Buurauto the more are added. You can test drive for free for two weeks. The current Buuarauto is often located at the Zandreiger. The second Buurauto will be located at a public charging station in Grasrijk.”
