Waterfront residents afraid of arrival of “party shed” in Meerhoven

A group of residents of the Waterfront in Meerhoven does not believe that an ordinary restaurant with a terrace will be built at the lake in Park Meerland. “It will be a party shed,” said their representative Martijn Snels on Tuesday at the Council of State in The Hague.

The resident of the Waterfront opposes the highest administrative court against a permit that the municipality of Eindhoven has granted in deviation from the zoning plan. Instead of subordinate hospitality as was originally intended, a restaurant of 300 square meters with a large terrace may now be installed. Operators are named Advait Bryers and Priya van Breugel, the organizers of the Feel-Good Market at Strijp-S.
