Welschap Golf Course opens for once after three years

The closure of the Welschap golf course in Eindhoven in 2020 hurt the nine hundred members and enthusiasts. After all, it was one of the most beautiful courses in the region. Nature slowly took over, but on Saturday, September 9, 2023, a ball can be played again.

After the gate at ‘Welschap’ closed permanently in 2020 because the golf course was no longer able to survive financially, nature seized its opportunity. Slowly but surely, the neatly mown greens became more and more wild. Moss now covers the roof tiles, green deposits make various direction indicators difficult to read. But on Saturday during a benefit match of various Lion clubs from the region, ‘Foooooreeeee’ will probably be heard again when a wrong ball flies over the green. And there might even be a hole-in-one.
