Sunday 22 March: 2nd Meerhoven Expat Meeting
Would you like to get in touch with fellow expats living in Meerhoven? Are you curious about current and future developments in Meerhoven? Or do you have ideas to make this place (even) better? Then join the 2nd Meerhoven Expat Meeting on Sunday 22 March 2015 from 16.00 to 18.00 hours. Location: Korein Kinderplein, Meerwater 17 in Eindhoven (shopping center Meerhoven).
Also your children are welcome. For them we provide a separate playroom where they will be entertained by professional staff members of child care center Korein Kinderplein. The meeting is organized by the United Residents’ Associations Meerhoven in cooperation with Korein Kinderplein, Holland Expat Center South and The Hub Eindhoven for Expats. For people arriving by car, there is an underground parking facility with first two hours of free parking.
Platform for expats
Shahzad Khan, co-organizer of the meeting, is from India and living in Meerhoven for three years together with his wife and two sons. “I find Meerhoven ideal for kids and I like the green and open space. Since last year I am actively involved in one of the residents’ associations in Meerhoven. With the Meerhoven Expat Meeting we aim to bring together internationals living in Meerhoven and to create a platform to discuss expat-related issues.”
Program
During the 2nd Meerhoven Expat Meeting the following topics will be addressed:
- child care (Korein Kinderplein Meerwater);
- health care (Health Care Centre SGE Meerhoven);
- safety (Police officers Meerhoven);
- education (International School Eindhoven, Primary School ‘De Startbaan’);
- help to settle into the South Netherlands (Holland Expat Centre South);
- exchanging experience and ideas;
- get to know each other, and enjoy drinks and snacks.

There is no charge to attend but participants are kindly requested to register at www.meerhoven.nl/expats because of the catering and the child care facilities.
